Bendy Kate

Bendy (as seen on Got to Dance 2012) is an innovative pole artist, acrobat, aerialist and handbalancer from the UK. Kate is 22 years old and trained as an acrobat from a young age.

Since beginning pole she has won several pole fitness titles including the UK Professional Champion 2011, UK Amateur Champion 2010 and World Doubles Pole Runner up twice.

She now teaches pole fitness masterclasses, private pole and aerial lessons, performs at dance shows and circus gigs.

Her aim is simple - to change negative perceptions of pole dancing...

'Bendy's Pole Acrobatics'

In this workshop Bendy focuses on the gymnastic elements behind pole fitness.  Pole conditioning (with a difference!)  Pole handstands. How to conquer and progress arms only moves (eg twisty grip, elbow grip....)

Flips and rolls on the pole.  Power moves including; flag inverts, lever ups, cartwheels, somersaults (all on the pole don't worry!)  All with step downs, training tips and progressions for each.

This class is ideal for pole dancers who enjoy a challenge and executing the more gymnastic pole moves. For intermediate to advanced pole dancers. You must be able to competently invert to attend this class. 90 min.

Bendy relives her childhood as she teaches exciting Acro and handbalancing.

Learn unique and fun balances which can be incorporated into pole performances and transferred to doubles pole tricks.  Bendy will help you with your handstands, levers and planches and other elements which can really improve your pole and aerial.  Overcome your fears.  Learn exactly where to place your hands when upside down.  How to balance yourself in headstands, shoulderstands, levers and handstands.  Body positioning and leg variations.  How to deadlift handstands.

Ideal for anyone looking to improve their handstands, balance, floor work, control and strength. Doubles partners will benefit from this workshop too! Available to all levels! 90 min

Gain trust and confidence on the Spinny pole. How to combat motion sickness! Learn how to create illusions on spinning pole, how to combine movements, the techniques behind one handed spins on a spinning pole.

This class is ideal for polers who love spins and admire the fluidity of movement in pole on both the static and spinning. All levels welcome! 90 min.
